Minu Joy

Hello! My name is Minu Joy, and I recently completed a Master’s degree in Engineering Practice (Electronics) from the University of Waikato. I have a strong passion for teaching and genuinely enjoy helping students build confidence, clarity, and independence in their learning. Through my academic journey, I have developed a patient, supportive, and structured approach that allows me to connect with students of different abilities and learning styles.

I offer tutoring in Mathematics and English for students from Year 8 to Year 13, supporting the NCEA syllabus. Mathematics is my strongest subject, and I focus on helping students develop solid foundations, strengthen their problem-solving skills, and prepare effectively for assessments and exams. In English, I support students with reading comprehension, writing skills, grammar, and exam preparation, guiding them step by step to improve both their understanding and confidence.

My goal is to create a positive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and are encouraged to reach their full potential. I strive to make lessons clear, accessible, and enjoyable by breaking down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps and tailoring each session to suit the individual needs of the student.
