Hyunwook Park

Hello, I’m Hyunwook, a second-year University of Auckland student studying Law, Economics, and Music. I graduated from Rangitoto college with passion and hard work as a student, and I've always had confidence in English as a subject.
As a bilingual who came to New Zealand at age of 11, I have a deep understanding of exchange student's progress and their passion to learn. As a tutor, I focus on confidence, effort and passion. I break complex ideas into simple steps, then reconnect them to what students care about such as sports, games, music, or whatever keeps them engaged, so learning feels practical. I am patient, structured in my teaching approach, and able to explain complex language concepts clearly and practically. My sessions are structured, prepared, and goal-driven, with time for questions, practice, and feedback.

I can specialise in ESOL, and also tutor English, Economics, Statistics, History up to NCEA Level 3. I am highly motivated to contribute to students’ academic progress and help them succeed in NCEA.
