Diya Soni

Hello! My name is Diya, and I’m currently in my second year at the University of Auckland, studying a conjoint degree in Commerce and Global Studies, majoring in Accounting, Commercial Law, International Relations, and Business.
As a tutor, I focus on helping students understand the “why” behind what they are learning, rather than simply memorising content. I aim to make lessons clear, engaging, and practical by breaking down difficult concepts and relating them to real-world examples and everyday situations.
I offer tutoring for NCEA Level 1, 2, and 3 Accounting, helping students build confidence and develop a deeper understanding of key accounting concepts and skills. I also tutor French and enjoy helping students improve their confidence in speaking, writing, reading and understanding the language. Having studied French throughout school and in university, I understand the challenges students may face.
My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and challenging themselves.
