Maddie Trolove

Hi, I'm Maddie! I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Otago, majoring in Finance and Marketing. I tutor Year 9–11 Mathematics and English, NCEA Level 2 Calculus, NCEA Level 3 Statistics and Economics, and University Finance papers.

I know that everyone learns differently, so I like to tailor each lesson to the student. Whether it's preparing for exams, catching up on classwork, or building confidence in a subject, my goal is to make learning feel less stressful and more enjoyable. I believe asking questions should always be encouraged, and I aim to create a relaxed, supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them.

Outside of university, I'm the Marketing Manager for the University of Otago Women in Business Club and co-founded a small family business, experiences that have strengthened my communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills. In my free time, I enjoy skiing, going to the gym, spending time with friends, and getting outdoors.

I look forward to helping students build confidence, achieve their goals, and realise they're capable of more than they think.
