Mia Cleugh

Kia ora! My name is Mia, and I am a fourth-year student at the University of Otago, completing a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Science, majoring in Genetics. I'm passionate about helping students unlock their potential and develop a genuine love for learning.

I graduated from St Margaret's College in 2022, where I was the Academic Prefect in my final year and received the Best All-Rounder award. Through my involvement in school councils and committees, I discovered my passion for supporting others to excel academically.

Alongside my studies, I've had the privilege of interning in cancer research, which has deepened my appreciation for science. Outside of my academics, you'll find me skiing, kitesurfing, tramping or doing anything outdoors. I also love music and play the clarinet, piano, and saxophone.

I can tutor the following subjects up to NCEA Level 3: Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Science, Mathematics (including Calculus and Algebra), and Music Theory. I can also tutor English up to NCEA Level 2 and Year 9-11 Maths, Science, and English.

I bring a friendly, encouraging approach to every session, and my goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel confident to ask questions and grow.
