Jacob Webby

Hi, I’m Jacob! I’m currently in my 4th year of university studying Astronomy for my Bachelor of Science at UC but have also studied physics at VUW in Wellington. I did physics, chemistry, calculus, computer science and engineering at high school and currently study a broad range of physics, calculus and algebra.

I love all things space and all of bizarre and magnificent parts of space, from our local solar system to the galaxy and the supercluster we are in (The Laniakea supercluster). I also love cars and motorbikes, cooking and computers, just about anything that you can pick apart and put back together.

I am very passionate about the topics in my study and find it very rewarding to teach people. Although I didn’t get tutoring in high school, I’ve seen the value it has and how it makes these interesting and amazing subjects more accessible and enjoyable. I’m confident to tutor from Yr9 all the way to NCEA level 3 and hope to help students enjoy these tricky subjects more.
