Liv Marshall

Kia ora, I’m Liv, a second-year student at the University of Canterbury, completing a Science degree double majoring in Biochemistry and Geography. I am ecstatic to bring my skills and expertise to support and empower young learners.

My home town is Tauranga where I attended Tauranga Girls’ College, a place that truly sparked my love for learning. During my time, I gained Excellence Endorsements in NCEA Level 1, 2, and 3, various Excellence Course Endorsements and was 2023 Head Prefect. I aim to create an upbeat, positive environment to boost students’ confidence and enhance their academic abilities. I am confident in tutoring Year 9–10 Maths and Science; Chemistry, Biology, and English up to Level 3; and Physics and Maths (Calculus, Algebra, Statistics) up to Level 2.

During my university holidays, I work as a high school teacher aide where I have gained experience working with students who have learning disabilities and special needs. This has strengthened my ability to tailor my approach to each student's diverse needs, helping them develop in a meaningful way. Beyond my academics, I am a passionate Surf Lifesaver, and I also enjoy cooking, skiing, running, swimming, and going to the gym. Living a balanced life is important to me, so I love to incorporate time for my family, friends, and hobbies.

I look forward to supporting students in thriving academically and hope to spark the same love for learning that I have.
