Charlie Barton

Hi, I am Charlie! I am a first year engineering student at the University of Canterbury. I grew up in Wellington and went to Scots College from 2016-2025.

I am confident in my ability to tutor Calculus and Chemistry up to NCEA Level 3, as well as Y9-11 Maths and Science. My love for teaching others came about as I worked as a swimming instructor through high school where I taught all ages. This experience has developed my ability to effectively communicate with a range of learning styles. When teaching I aim to foster an enthusiastic environment where students work hard but more importantly have fun whilst getting the most out of their learning.

After leaving school I was lucky to have a GAP year where I undertook regular work on building sites and had the opportunity to spend two months in South America. I am an avid rugby player and love the outdoors, and I can regularly be found fishing and tramping in the summer!
