Tharindu Gamalath

I’m a second-year Bachelor of Optometry student at the University of Auckland. Before university, I attended Long Bay College, where I completed all my NCEA standards with Excellence Endorsement, studying subjects such as Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Outside of my studies, I’m passionate about kickboxing, MMA, and staying active at the gym. I also enjoy traveling, watching movies, and occasionally spending time drawing.

As a tutor, I’m passionate about sharing my knowledge and helping students build confidence in their learning. I find it incredibly rewarding to help others grasp challenging concepts and aim to create an engaging and supportive environment. I’m especially confident teaching Biology and Chemistry at NCEA Levels 1 and 2. My goal is to make learning enjoyable and tailored to each student’s needs, helping them reach their full potential in a relaxed and encouraging setting.
