Jessica Kang

Hello there! I'm Jessica, a second-year student at the University of Auckland studying Biomedical Science. I attended Macleans College where I received my CAIE qualifications, and thrived in STEM-based subjects such as physics and mathematics, particularly excelling in maths.
During high school, I participated in a variety of extracurricular activities, from Symphony Orchestra to bridge.

I specialise in tutoring Cambridge maths up to A2, as well as NCEA Level 2 Math. I believe that maths is not all about numbers and formulas, but also about building problem-solving skills and enhancing logical thinking. This approach helps students to grasp concepts more effectively and solidify existing knowledge.

Outside of academics, I enjoy listening to music and podcasts, playing the piano, and spending time with friends and family. I also engage in activities that keep the mind active and creativity flowing, such as reading, painting or solving puzzles. These hobbies help me stay curious and patient - qualities that contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment.
I look forward to supporting students as they grow their confidence in maths, overcome challenges, and develop the key skills necessary to reach their full potential!
