Janessa Chantha
Hello! My name is Janessa, and I am a second-year Law and Global Studies student studying at the University of Auckland. For secondary school, I attended Botany Downs Secondary College in East Auckland, where I also grew up. I completed secondary school with Excellent endorsements every year. I excelled in literary, arts and humanities-based NCEA subjects. My efforts and grades have been acknowledged with scholarships and top awards. At university, I have experience being in a competitive cohort and have furthered my skills by becoming a Class Representative and competing in Law School moot competitions.
Outside of academics, I enjoy playing sports (netball in particular!), exploring outdoors, and strength training in the gym. I am also designing and marketing for university clubs to help bring the community closer together. I am passionate about encouraging social and academic growth in a fun and positive environment.
I am confident in teaching Psychology and Biology up to NCEA Level 3, and English and Statistics up to NCEA Scholarship! I enjoy these subjects as they allow for creative input and insight from the student. I look forward to helping students develop their inner voice, build confidence, and achieve their academic goals!
