Jonty Collier

Hi, my name is Jonty, I was originally born in Hong Kong but raised in Tauranga. I am currently living in Hamilton and in my 2nd year of studying a Bachelor of Sport and Human Performance, majoring in Human Performance Science. In 2023 I was lucky enough to be awarded the University of Waikato Sir Edmund Hillary Scholarship for outstanding academic, leadership and sporting abilities. In my spare time, I enjoy playing various sports such as squash, touch rugby and surfing. 

Before attending The University of Waikato I attended Tauranga Boys’ College from years 9 to 13. While at Tauranga Boys’ College, I was a year 13 prefect and gained excellence endorsement across NCEA Levels 1, 2 and 3. Previously I have tutored junior kids at Tauranga Boys College in their reading programme and a students supporting students club. I am confident in tutoring junior students in Mathematics, English and Science. Along with this, I can also tutor up to Level 2 Chemistry and Level 1 Science.
