Nikita Stone
Kia ora, my name is Nikita! I’m a second year Bachelor of Speech and Language Pathology student at the University of Canterbury. Originally from Napier, I moved to Christchurch to pursue my studies. I have a wide range of experience working with people of all ages in a variety of contexts, including teacher aide assistance. In high school, I gained excellence endorsement in NCEA Levels 1, 2, and 3.
I offer tutoring in English from Years 9-12; General Science to Years 9–11, as well as Biology to NCEA Level 3. I also provide ESOL support for students developing their English language skills.
My degree has given me a strong foundation in the English language and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly. I focus on providing calm, constructive feedback and creating a supportive learning environment that helps students build confidence, improve their understanding, and achieve their academic goals.
When not at Uni, I love spending quality time with my friends and whānau, either on walks, grabbing a coffee, or just having a chat. In my quiet time, I’ll play guitar, and keep active through dance. I’m so excited to be able to help students reach their highest potential and increase their confidence!
