Tania Ye
Hello! My name is Tania Ye. I am a student at the University of Auckland, where I recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Science and am now pursuing a degree in Secondary Teaching. I graduated from Macleans College, where I studied chemistry, physics, and mathematics—subjects that laid a strong foundation for my scientific understanding and fueled my curiosity about the natural world.
My Marine Science degree deepened my knowledge of biology and offered hands-on opportunities to explore nature through fieldwork. This experience has strengthened my appreciation for the environment and my desire to inspire that same respect in others. Outside of academics, I enjoy diving and am currently learning sailing and surfing. Being in nature brings me joy and a sense of connection.
I have one year of experience tutoring and mentoring both intermediate and secondary students. I am passionate about helping students build confidence and develop their own approach to learning science. I believe effective tutoring is not about giving answers but guiding students to discover their strengths and cultivate their own learning style. I look forward to supporting students on their journey and helping them reach their full potential.
